Applying for student employment
If you were offered a work position on your award letter you will be
given priority for any student employment positions that are available
on campus. You should secure a student employment position between June
15, 2008 and September 5, 2008. You may secure a position after
September 5th if positions are available. On September 8,
2008 any positions that are available on campus will be opened to any
interested students. As positions become vacant throughout the year,
they will be posted on the website.
It is your
responsibility to secure a position on campus by contacting supervisors
who have positions available.
You can
check student employment job openings on the web at the following
address:

Supervisors will begin posting positions for Fall 2008 and Spring 2009
to the website beginning June 15, 2008 and will update the website as
their positions become vacant.
When you contact the supervisors you will need to show them a copy of
your award letter that includes the work award or have them contact the
Financial Aid office to verify your eligibility. If you are offered a
position the supervisor will send a request to the Financial Aid Office
and your work agreement will be processed. You MAY NOT begin
work until you receive your work agreement and all required paperwork
are completed and submitted to the financial aid office. All students
securing a work position and wish to work MUST FIRST COMPLETE THE
EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY VERIFICATION FORM (FORM I9). This Form will
be available in the department you secure the work position and requires
you to present original identifying documents. This form can be viewed
at the following link-
http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-9.pdf.
If you do not secure a position or if you decide not to work please
contact the Financial Aid Office so the work can be removed from your
award package.
