RU Standards of Progress for Financial Aid Recipients

Coursework and transfer hours  are used to determine eligibility.  Federal regulations require that financial aid recipients must be making progress toward a degree in addition to meeting the minimum cumulative grade point average.

If you do not meet the Standards of Academic Progress, you may appeal your suspension from financial aid by completing the RU Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeal Form (now available on this web site).

Students should also be aware that class attendance is checked twice each semester.  Instructors submit this information to the Registrar's Office.  Students who stop attending all classes will have their financial aid eligibility recalculated for the semester Lack of class attendance will negatively impact students' future financial aid eligibility.  This information will be considered in cases where students must file Financial Aid Satisfactory Academic Progress Appeals
