Outstanding Student Workers
The H.S. ("Buddy") Johnston and
Janet N. Johnston Outstanding Student Worker Awards were established by
the Radford University Foundation in December of 1993. Buddy Johnston
was the Financial Aid Director at Radford University for twenty-six
years until he retired in 2000. Supervisors nominate students who have
exceeded the "call of duty" in performing in an outstanding manner in
their campus work tasks. Nominations are accepted until early March. A
committee reviews the nominations and awards three $250 awards. One
will be given to a graduate student and two will be given to
undergraduate students. Supervisors are notified in January to submit
nominations.
