RU Dual Enrollment Programs (Click here for Eligible programs)

Students may enroll in a Radford University program at the Roanoke Center or the New College Institute (NCI) in the special dual enrollment programs and apply for financial aid.  Students should follow the same application procedures as those students attending classes on the Radford University campus. Remember that there is a February 1 priority filing date for the FAFSA.   Also students who plan to take Summer classes must file an online Summer Financial Aid Application.  The priority filing date for this application is March 1. The summer application, in addition to other forms, may be downloaded from the RU Financial Aid website.  Click on Forms on the web.

Applying for financial aid

Dual Enrollment
Students who are admitted into one of the Roanoke Programs or the NCI programs may be eligible for dual enrollment at another college.  Students must be admitted into the Criminal Justice, Education, Nursing, Management, Accounting, or Social Work program that is offered on  RU's Roanoke campus or specific NCI programs through Martinsville.  Students should only take classes that are required for their Radford University program of study.

Students who intend to dually enroll in another College's classes are required to submit additional paperwork if they want to include their these hours with RU hours for financial aid purposes. Students who have not been admitted into one of these programs are not eligible to receive financial aid for dual enrollment at another college
.
Federal law prohibits students from receiving financial aid from both Radford University and another college or university during the same academic semester.  Students who receive funds erroneously from both institutions will be required to return funds to one of the schools immediately.  Failure to do so could result in ineligibility for financial aid at any institution.
