Summer Financial Aid
Summer Financial Aid
Applications will be available online and in the Financial Aid Office in
late January.
Students who would
like to borrow from the Stafford Loan program must have eligibility
remaining from the prior year.
Students may not have
already borrowed the maximum loan amount during the previous Fall and
Spring semester.
Students interested in Summer Financial Aid must complete a separate
Summer Financial Aid Application by
March 1, 2008.
To receive Summer
Financial Aid undergraduate students must enroll in
at least six credits at Radford
University.
Graduate students must enroll in
at least five credits at Radford University.
If
you filed a 2007-2008 Free Application for Federal Students Aid (FAFSA),
your eligibility will be based on that FAFSA. IF you did not file a
2007-2008 FAFSA, you should complete a 2008-2009 FAFSA. You may file
this online at
www.fafsa.ed.gov
Satisfactory Academic Progress will be checked after
Spring 2008 grades are posted (for students enrolled at Radford
University). If summer financial aid is awarded to a student who is not
making progress after spring grades are reviewed, their financial aid
will be cancelled. An appeals process is available. View the policy at
finaid.asp.radford.edu .
A summer award
letter WILL NOT be sent until you are registered for the credit hours
that you reported on your Summer application. If you need to adjust
your hours, you must complete a Change of hours form.
Limited funds are available during the summer. Normally
students will receive a Stafford Loan and a Pell grant if eligible.
Students may only borrow Stafford loan funds if they have remaining
eligibility from the prior Fall and Spring semester.
